Dit is de tweede wijn van Cos d'Estournel, Saint-Estèphe Deuxième Grand Cru Classé. Bij Cos d'Estournel hebben ze liever niet dat spreekt over een tweede wijn. De wijn is zo goed en die staat op zichzelf. Wel vreemd dat ze wel de Estournel op het etiket zetten. Ach ja... marketing. Als de wijn zo goed is, zou het geen probleem zijn om enkel Les Pagodes 2020 op het etiket te zetten. En eerlijk gezegd is de wijn van dien kwaliteit dat het zou moeten kunnen. Enfin, er is ook een derde wijn. Mag je ook niet zeggen. Deze draagt de naam G d'Estournel. Alle wijnen bij ons verkrijgbaar.

Château Cos d'Estournel is een 2e Grand Cru Classé, gevestigd in Saint-Estèphe en behoort bij de top van Bordeaux. Cos d'Estournel springt er uit - in meerdere opzichten. Niet alleen worden de wijnen steevast geprezen in de pers, ook het landgoed is er één die je niet snel vergeet. Het bijzondere bouwwerk doet meer denken aan een Oosterse tempel dan aan een Middeleeuws, Frans wijnkasteel.
